The best age to bring in a newborn for their shoot is under to weeks old, but I do newborn sessions up to around 6 weeks, and just amend posing to suit older babies. In order to secure your date, the best time to book a newborn session is anytime after your 12 week scan, most people book around 16-20 weeks but just as soon as you feel ready will work. Do factor in that most professional newborn photographers in Belfast book up in advance. However if you didn't realise amd your little one is due soon or is already here, always enquire with your favourite photographer as it can be common to have last minute availability due to all the changing dates.
HOW WILL I BOOK IF I DON'T KNOW WHEN BABY WILL BE HERE?
I secure your date in my diary by making note of your due date, then when baby arrives I give you a few options we arrange a time suit. I only book a set amount of newborn sessions per month to allow for all the changing dates. I expect to hear from you anytime in the couple of weeks before and after planned due date.
